How credits work on Nano Banana
See the price before you generate, get credits back automatically when an output fails, and keep subscription credits forever. The credit rules, explained.
Every image and video on Nano Banana is paid for with credits. Here is where credits come from, how they are spent, and when you get them back.
Know the price before you generate
Once you pick a model, resolution, duration and number of outputs, the generate button shows exactly how many credits the run will cost. Nano Banana 2.1 images start at 6 credits each (1K), and higher resolutions, longer videos and audio cost more; the generate page always shows the exact price. If you don't have enough credits, the button points you to top up instead of charging first.
Every output is charged separately
You can ask for up to 4 outputs at once, and each one is charged on its own:
- successful outputs are charged;
- failed outputs (the model refuses, it times out, or the service errors) are refunded automatically. You don't need to ask.
Ask for 4 images, get 3, and you pay for 3. Every charge and refund shows up in Credit history in your account.
Where credits come from
- Welcome credits: new accounts get 20 credits once, about 3 images with Nano Banana 2.1 at 1K. To stop bulk sign-ups, only the first 2 accounts from one IP receive them.
- Subscriptions: credits are granted once per billing period and never expire.
- Credit packs: one-off purchases, valid for 12 months from the purchase date.
Credits that expire soonest are always spent first, so you don't lose any you could have used.
Payments and refunds
We take payment through Stripe only. You can cancel a subscription at any time from the billing page, which opens Stripe's billing portal; it stays active until the end of the current period. Payment refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
